Babao Dam-
A Historical Building among 100 Top Views in Taiwan

  In terms of Changhua County, one of the most important barns in Taiwan, you can never miss Jhuoshuei River, a critical river for water conservancy as well as its source for irrigation, Babao Dam. The water of the old Jhuoshuei River is drawn into Babao Dam to irrigate the whole Changhua plain flowing by Ershuei Township. As there are no big factories producing environmental pollution, the water source is kept clean and natural to irrigate close and numerous uice paddies in Changhua County.Therefore, Babao Dam is called the mother river of Changhua.

Mr.Lin, Yu the Great
(preventing floods by water control) of Taiwan
  The Temple of Mr. Lin will come up as long as the Babao Dam of Ershuei is concerned . An official of the Ching government intended to introduce the water from Jhuoshuei River for irrigation; however, he failed several times. Later, Mr. Lin gave him the map and taughthim the weir techniques leading to the successful implementation of this plan. In memory of Mr. Lin, the later generation built a temple and honored him as Yu the Great of Taiwan.

A Traditional Big Residence-the Jheng's Ancient House
  The Jheng's Ancient House is the most completely preserved traditional enclosed building with three entrances, three courtyards and eight wing rooms. One description of a traditional huge house goes like this: A big house with 120 doors on three directions has a fish pond in the front and fruit trees in rear. It is exactly the portrayal of the Jheng's Ancient House. There are still people living in this house at present. Therefore, say hello to them when you visit here.

A Sacred Ground of Buddhism - Biyuan Temple
  Sakyamuni Buddha and Avalokiteshvara (Mercy Buddha) are enshrined here. This nunnery is also a famous scenic spot of Buddhism in this town. The Longan flower tea offered by the temple every summer is a refreshing cool drink after paying respect to the Buddhas. Fruit trees of Pineapple Longan and pomelo are planted along the mountain slope. Butterflies dance among the luxuriant and verdant trees. You can pay your respect to Buddhas and enjoy an outing at the same time.

Taoshan Temple
  he Jhongtan Marshal consecrated in Taoshan Temple was a separate spirit from Taohua Temple in Hujhou County of Changchou, Fukien Province. In addition to the Buddha statue, one ancient incense burner fabricated in Ming Dynasty with a history over 500 years was also brought back as the treasure of the temple.

  Jhuoshuei River is rich in minerals. The delicate and glossy texture of stones is produced by terrestrial pressure and heat for a long time.The most common colors include inky black, dark green and claret. The pure and fine lines of inkslabs can prevent damage to the writing brushes and sustain moisture for a long time. It is truly an inkstone material that is hard to come by.
